The Lord Of The Rings: War In The North

This is a pretty good game and although the graphics are not bad, it doesn’t make up for the fact that there are some technical issues when it comes to using the multiplayer modes. One of your enemies may appear dead to you, but your friend that is playing along with you may see that this enemy you thought you had killed is actually alive. When it comes to the auto save function there are some problems here too; this game does not save your progress very often and you can find yourself way back in the game having to complete various challenges yet again; all because the game appears to save your progress when it feels like it, which can lead to a lot of frustration. Having said that; there are some pretty good points and you can get your hands on some great new weapons and experience a lot of great environments and meet some wonderful characters. If you’re willing to put up with a load of technical issues then this game is not a bad one.

Nickelodeon Dance

For those of you that like to dance or watch your kids dance, this is not a bad game at all. There are some very bright and colorful graphics that are very attractive to kids and the music that goes along with the dances is not bad either. Dead Island was released onto the shelves of gaming stores in September 2011; and is an excellent game despite the visual quality that can go from great to not-so-good at intermittent levels. There has been criticism about the poor level of acting when it comes to the human roles; but this should not deter you from playing Dead Island that is set on a tropical island where anyone would love to take their vacation. ‘Dead Island’ is so-called because of the lovely flesh-eating zombies that have decided to call this place their home which means that your vacation is anything but fun and relaxing. This is a great game for those who love to play alongside other people and want to experience a pretty good level of combat.

Cheating On The Xbox 360

There are always a load of cheats coming out for Xbox 360 games all the time; but is it something many people are interested in and if so; is it considered to be ethical?

When it comes down to it; it doesn’t really matter too much if you cheat during a game unless you are part of a competition where cheating is against the rules as it could give you an unfair advantage over others; if you are just playing against the computer then I guess cheating is ok and you have nothing to lose. There are those however that are quite against cheating and insist that it spoils the entire experience.

Making Life Easier

I have cheated before, many times in fact and if I were to begin playing one of my Grand Theft Auto games; I would immediately have a whole host of weapons and body armor; I guess having these makes life a little easier and it means I can skip through the game a lot faster and not get as frustrated; but perhaps it also means that I don’t care so much about playing the game properly as some people do.

What About Walkthroughs?

I guess that walkthroughs are a form of cheating too; they do help you to a degree but they don’t give you a huge melee of weapons or the cash you need to buy them. After a frustrating half hour trying to get Homer Simpson to follow a rabbit on one of The Simpsons’ games; I gave up and searched for a walkthrough. The answer I had been looking for had been staring me in the face all the time; but I guess I was unable to see the wood for the trees.

Catching The Bus

Quite simply if the makers of the games didn’t want us to cheat then they wouldn’t put the cheat codes into the system. It’s a bit like sitting an exam and finding the answers to a particularly difficult question and as a result we fly through the examination much faster and get a better grade. It’s a bit like a guy in the U.K that I read about; he was running a marathon and decided to take a bus for much of the journey because it had started to rain; the thing is, he got found out and was stripped of his medal; although cheating at games on the Xbox 360 is not as serious; we can never have the full gaming experience if we enter those codes or read a walkthrough.

The good thing about using cheats and walkthroughs is they can:

Get you through the game faster

Save a lot of frustration and time
